Our environmental policy:
– Quantify and monitor all environmental impacts of the business.
– Comply with current legislation and, where practical, seek to meet future legislative requirements ahead of relevant deadlines.

– Require all colleagues to address environmental responsibilities within the framework of normal operating procedures.
– Minimise waste, also seek to recover as much as is economically practical and ensure the remainder is disposed of responsibly.

Our achievements to date:
Airfreight
Entec International has significantly reduced the output of Co2 emitted from the shipment of goods via air freight; the reduction of 169 tonnes of Co2 is achieved as a result of the establishment of our European distribution hub which has reduced the average freight distance a by 1600km or 994 miles.
In addition regular consolidations now take place with customers receiving weekly shipments wherever practicable to their requirements, further reducing the need for multiple shipments and cutting associated Co2 emissions.
Sustainable Packaging
Entec International Ltd make every effort to source timber for packaging from ethically managed woodland, with this in mind we have contacted our suppliers to seek clarification of the measures they are taking to promote sustainable productions.
Our approach is aimed at supporting progressive improvements to establish that timber is derived from legal sources and is harvested in a sustainable way; under an inclusive approach recognising a range of certification schemes. These include the Pan European Forest Certification Scheme, Forest Stewardship Council and Sustainable Forestry Initiatives.
Recycling Initiatives
Entec International has a comprehensive approach to recycling waste. Materials such as cardboard, paper, plastics ink cartridges PDAs, cell phones, and digital cameras are all recycled on Entec’s behalf by approved industry contractors.
Entec International employees are made aware of the importance of recycling through the company intranet systems and are encouraged to become involved with the process to great effect.
Keith Phipps memorial charity fund
In 2008 Entec International began raising money to support worthy causes in countries across our global footprint. To date a significant amount has been raised through the hard work and commitment of our staff who have taken part in charity car rallies and mountain walks and partnership work with local schools to gather sponsorship, equipment and awareness for a number of causes.
